Ingredients
Measurements:
For the meatballs
5¼ oz cheddar cheese
1 lb beef rump
chilled, cut into 1-inch pieces
½ tsp kosher salt
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Freshly ground black pepper
to season
½ cup (1 oz) panko breadcrumbs
1 large egg
For the burger sauce
½ cup (3¾ oz) mayonnaise
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tbsp yellow mustard
1 dill pickle
finely chopped
1 tsp pickle juice
1 tsp sugar
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
Instructions
1Assemble the processor with the grey spindle and yellow reversible shredder, with the coarse side up in the bowl and shred the cheese. Remove from the bowl and set aside.
2Carefully assemble the processor with the grey spindle and green S-blade in the bowl. Add the beef and process until finely chopped.
3Add the shredded cheese, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, breadcrumbs and egg and pulse to combine. Remove the blade and transfer the mixture to a bowl.
4Insert the wire rack into position 6. Set the oven to Air Fry, Super Convection, 450°F, for 10 minutes and press Start to preheat. Meanwhile, continue to the next step.
Tip: Recipe has been optimized for the Joule Oven Air Fryer Pro and Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro.
5Roll 2 tablespoon amounts of mixture into balls. Place in the air fry basket, evenly spaced apart.
6Once preheated, place the roasting pan on the rack to catch any drips during cooking. Insert the basket into position 1 and air fry for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, make the sauce.
7To make the burger sauce, carefully assemble the cleaned processor with the grey spindle and green S-blade in the bowl. Place all the sauce ingredients in the bowl and process until combined.
8The meatballs should be golden brown and cooked through. If not, air fry them a little longer.
9Your meatballs are golden, juicy, and ready to go. Serve them up warm with a dollop of burger sauce on the side for dipping, or pop them into a mini bun for a tasty bite-sized burger. Yum!
