Instructions
Place the soy sauce, mirin, rice wine vinegar, honey, ginger, garlic and sesame oil in a large bowl and whisk to combine. Place the drumsticks into a large zipper-lock freezer bag and pour over the marinade. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or up to overnight.
Insert the oven rack into position 2 Down and set the oven to Bake & Roast, Super Convection, 400°F, for 30 minutes and press Start to preheat. Meanwhile, continue to the next step.
Place the broccoli in a bowl, add the olive oil and toss to coat.
Line a sheet pan with foil. Place the drumsticks in the pan, in a single layer and pour over the marinade.
Once preheated, place the pan in the oven and cook for 30 minutes. When there is 10 minutes remaining on the timer, turn the drumsticks, sprinkle with half the sesame seeds, add the broccoli and continue cooking.
When the oven signals that the cook is complete, turn the drumsticks and sprinkle with the remaining sesame seeds. Set the oven to Broil, High, for 3 minutes and press Start.
The chicken should be glazed and read 165°F when tested with a meat thermometer. If not, press A Bit More.
Serve the chicken and broccoli with steamed rice, for a deliciously sticky, family-friendly meal everyone will love.
