Miso Salmon

Salmon is marinated in a Japanese-inspired blend of white miso paste, mirin, sake, garlic and ginger. After a quick bake, it’s broiled to caramelize the top.

Measurements:

  • salmon fillet icon
    2 x 6¼ oz salmon fillets

    1-inch thick, skin on

  • green onion icon
    1 green onion

    thinly sliced

  • lemon wedge icon
    Lemon wedges

    to serve

For the marinade

  • white miso paste icon
    ¼ cup (2 oz) white miso paste
  • mirin icon
    2 tbsp mirin
  • cooking sake icon
    2 tbsp cooking sake
  • sugar icon
    1 tbsp sugar
  • clove garlic icon
    1 clove garlic

    minced

  • grated fresh ginger icon
    1 tsp grated fresh ginger

Instructions

  • 1Whisk all the marinade ingredients together. Place the salmon and the marinade in a large resealable bag. Seal the bag and refrigerate for 15 minutes, or up to 48 hours. The longer the marinating time the more the flavor will develop.
  • 2Insert the oven rack into position 2 Up. Set the oven to Air Fry, Super Convection, 425°F, for 10 minutes and press Start to preheat. Meanwhile, continue to the next step.
  • 3Line the roasting pan with foil and place the broiling rack on top. Allow the excess marinade to drain and place the salmon, skin side down, on the rack.
  • 4Once preheated, place the pan in the oven and air fry for 10 minutes. When the oven signals, rotate the pan and continue cooking.
  • 5The salmon should be nicely caramelized. If not, press A Bit More.
    Tip: It may need a little more or a little less extra cooking time, best to keep an eye on it.
  • 6Top the salmon with green onion, squeeze over lemon and serve.
