Where dessert meets cocktail hour, the Chocolate Affogato Martini blends chilled espresso, Kahlua, vodka, and simple syrup into a smooth, spirited mix. Served in a martini glass rimmed with melted chocolate and finished with creamy ice cream, it’s a rich, show-stopping sip for espresso martini lovers and sweet tooths alike.
1To melt the chocolate, place the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of barely simmering water. Don't allow the base of the bowl to touch the water, so the chocolate doesn't overheat. Stir occasionally until melted.
Tip: Chocolate can also be melted in the microwave.
2Remove the chocolate from the heat. Dip a martini glass into the chocolate to coat the rim.
3Place the cold espresso, Kahlua, vodka and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker with ice and replace the lid. Vigorously shake until combined.
4Strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into the prepared martini glass. Add the ice cream and garnish with gold leaf.
