Salty Cheese Latte

A rich and unexpected blend of sweet, salty and bold, this latte layers chilled espresso and milk with a silky salted caramel cream cheese topping. Finished with a crack of pepper and a pinch of pink sea salt for a playful, savory edge.

Ingredients

Measurements:

  • salted caramel sauce icon

    Ice cubes

  • whole milk icon
    5 fl oz whole milk
  • double shot espresso icon
    1 double shot espresso

    chilled

  • cracked black pepper icon
    Cracked black pepper

    to garnish

  • sea salt flakes icon
    Sea salt flakes

For the salted caramel cream cheese

  • heavy cream icon
    2 fl oz heavy cream
  • cream cheese icon
    1½ oz cream cheese

    at room temperature

  • whole milk icon
    2 tsp whole milk
  • salted caramel sauce icon
    1 tsp salted caramel sauce

Instructions

  • 1To make the salted caramel cream cheese, place the cream, cream cheese, milk and salted caramel sauce in a liquid measuring cup. Whisk (or use a hand frother) until thick but still pouring consistency.
  • 2Drizzle the inside of a tall serving glass with salted caramel sauce. Fill with ice and pour in the milk.
  • 3Pour over the chilled espresso and top with the salted caramel cream cheese. Garnish with pepper and sea salt flakes, to serve.
